Parenthood is the most priceless feeling that a couple can experience, having a child who would take your name forward in the world, someone who will give them love and support them when they would be old. There is also a strong desire to continue the family tree and to have grandsons when you are old, watching them grow up and prosper in their lives.
Unfortunately, this is not simple for some couples. Infertility has become very common among couples these days, it is the inability of a male or female to conceive a child or get pregnant. It could be because of many reasons, physical, physiological or environmental.
In females the PCOS problem is a very common cause of infertility which is a type of hormonal imbalance where the female can develop a number of health related problem and it could affect the menstruation cycle. There are other reasons too like ovulation problem and damaged Fallopian tube or uterus.
Infertility in women can be caused because of hormonal imbalance, tumor, eating disorders, alcohol or drug use etc. Stress, excess weight and intense exercise can also lead to infertility.
IVF- In vitro fertilization is one of the most common solutions for infertile couples. In this process the female eggs are extracted from the female body and fertilized with healthy sperms outside in a lab and after the egg is fertilized then it is transplanted back into the uterus and the pregnancy process is completed. However, IVF process is not guarantee 100% successful pregnancy, it can fail at times.
The fertilized eggs have to be planted in female during the right window, which is the period during which the endometrium is receptive, which is the inner lining which is formed each month in preparation of the embryo.
ERA- Endometrial Receptive test is done to ensure the Endometrium is receptive and prepared for embryo implant. This test increases the success rate of In Vitro Fertilization.
